HAYWARD — Cannery Park’s $4.7 million face lift is complete, 2-1/2 years after directors of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, or HARD, approved the upgrade for this recreation site on downtown Hayward’s western fringe.
The park’s amenities include a new plaza area, promenade, water play area, skate park, scoreboard, picnic areas, restroom building, landscaping and sports fields with lighting.
